Dear candidates, on 20th May 2017 will be held the third annual event of Machine Gun Tours Slovakia. Due the European situation the registration and pre-sale tickets will be available from 1st January 2017

Historic shooting of marvelous guns ranging from WWI to the present. Participants will have the opportunity to take a look at and try more than 100 different types of guns. We can't take in more than 150 participants at one event with the shooting running from 8 am till 6 pm. The minimum age is 12 with parental guidance between the ages of 12-18! The registration fee of the Machine Gun Tours adventure shooting event is €120 covering the entry fee, shooting range charges, a cup of morning coffee and lunch. The ammunition of guns you would like to try is available on the spot at the prices shown here.'

Out of almost 100 guns to choose from at the Machine Gun Tours event 65 are weapons of war! That is, these aren't "watered down" versions of weapons of war reconditioned for sport but actual historical weapons, insomuch that according to proof marks some of them were even there at the frontlines. If you are interested in the history of guns, how they work, or if you would simply like to try what's it like to stand at the safe end of a historical gun, register now!

Terms and Conditions of the Machine Gun Tours Event

The Machine Gun Tours event takes place once a year. To enter the shooting range area and take part in the event, participants (and spectators) need to pay a registration fee of €120. The fee contains a morning beverage of your choice (coffee, tea or soft drink), lunch (soup, main course, dessert, coffee), unlimited sparkling water throughout the day, and the shooting range and gun rental charges. Participants need to buy the ammunition to each selected gun separately.



Only ammunition bought at the shooting range is allowed to be used for shooting! Using carried in ammunition is strictly prohibited!

Use of alcohol and narcotics at the shooting range is strictly prohibited!

Entrance to shooting range is allowed only after registration!

In the interest of the rest of the shooters, any participant violating safety rules might get removed from the shooting range without the entitlement for a refund.

Participants of the Machine Gun Tours event are held materially and legally liable for any damage incurred to the shooting range in each and every case.

It is permitted to use your own target (target face, household appliance, clothes etc.) only after the target is safety-checked and approved by the organizers prior to its placing.

In case of cancellation the registration fee is non-refundable.

Pack in some rainwear and dress in layers. There are places to hide from rain at the shooting range but why stop shooting if it's just a couple of raindrops?

If you're handling a gun, try focusing solely on the gun. Don't get disturbed by someone taking pictures or shooting loudly next to you, focus on your own gun and on thoroughly following rules.

Even if you're not shooting, it's advisable to keep your hearing protection on as some of the farther located guns can still be quite loud.

There is a snack bar at the shooting range so you don't need to bring any food or drinks separately with you. Besides, the entry fee includes lunch and unlimited sparkling water.

Avoid using your cell phone while shooting if possible. An ill-timed cell phone ringing can lead to an excessive or unsafe motion.

If you've never fired a gun before, focus on safe gun handling instead of target hits at first.

It's practical to try everything and eventually get back to the most enjoyable guns.

There are separate professionals ready for those interested in the historical background of guns.


Can I get injured?

You can strain your back and get injured even while getting out of bed. But if you follow the safety rules and the range masters' and organizers' instructions thoroughly, you won't have to worry about getting injured.'

I don't have a Firearms License. Is that a problem?

No, you don't need to have a Firearm License to try the guns, registering prior to shooting will suffice.'

How come there are historic guns? Is it totally legal?

Everything is legal of course. The event is reported with the police and there are even a few professionals among the assisting staff. The shooting range as well as the firearms are validly licensed.

I've never fired a gun before. Is that a problem?

Following the registration, participants will get all crucial theoretical information at a training. If necessary, each participant has at least one assistant helping him load the firearm, showing him it's working principle and the way to hold the gun.

Do I have to wait for long until it's my turn?

Generally no. Shooting takes place in several sectors at once and there are several firing lines in each sector. Even if the selected gun is unavailable, the next shooter will usually have his turn by the time it's being reloaded.
